The History of Han Eri

Old days. people wore restrained design, so Han Eri was an important part.

At first “Kake Eri” is sewed on the haori’s neck part.

After those “Kake Eri” became popular, next trend was Kimono’s Han Eri.

It was luxury part of Nagajuban and it was called Han Eri.

In this modern era, the fashionable trend takes over and those selections are getting the increase.

 

 

Types and materials

Materials are silk, cotton, hemp and chemical fiber.

Popular colors are off white color and natural silk.

But it’s easy to laundry if it’s chemical fiber.

Women choose the same materials of Han Eri and Nagajuban.

Like for hemp Nagajuban, they match hemp Han Eri.

We can also see “Habutae”, “Shioze”, “Tirimen”, “Monrinzu”, “Youryu” and “Ro”.

White Han Eri

 

The color of Han Eri has two types: white Han Eri or color Han Eri.

We can coordinate white Han Eri with any Kimono.

Shioze Han Eri mathes for casual and formal scene.

Ro Han Eri is for Ro Kimono, Sya Han Eri is for Sya Kimono.
